I love the phrase about water. I think about it each time that I see some TV ad about a new revolutionary product (cosmetic, clean…) without “chemicals”… only “natural stuff”.

True. People always talk about ‘chemicals’ as if it were nuclear fission. When I explain that water is a chemical, that they are one big ‘chemical’ factory —I get a dead stare. Synthetic might be a more applicable term but even that may be meaningless in certain situations.
